Over 200 supporters from Kaizer Chiefs Branches across the Southern Region of the North West gathered at the Bonang Conference Centre in Ikageng, Potchefstroom, on Friday.
The fans came together to participate in the regional elections. The day was successfully hosted and co-ordinated by the Potchefstroom Branch and was attended by 18 of the possible 20 branches.
“There is a tangible feeling of rejuvenation and excitement amongst our branches,” reflects Chiefs’ Supporters Relationship Manager Tracy Williams. “It’s not just about being the champion this season. There is a real sense of ownership that branches are feeling with the implementation of structures. They are embracing change with open arms.”
“Meanwhile, we have seen the continued input of the ‘older’ generation,” adds Williams, “who add wisdom and consistency. They are joined by an enthusiastic and energetic younger leadership that embraces new communication methods and who are eager to take the Kaizer Chiefs Branches to the next level.”
