Security arrangements have been made for the Absa Premiership match between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs which will be played at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.



As expected, this match has been categorised as a “High Risk Match” . Supporters who will be attending must take note of the following:



1.1 There will be no match tickets available at the stadium and no one will be allowed to sell any tickets near the stadium or anywhere else except at computicket outlets. Those who have bought extra tickets with the intention of selling them will be arrested.



1.2 Spectators who do not have a match day ticket should stay at home as no loitering near the stadium will be allowed.



1.3 This match will be an all “ITHIKITHI ESANDLENI” affair. No accreditation/match ticket, no entry.



1.4 Soccer supporters who bought tickets for others are requested to distribute those tickets before they enter the first perimeters of the stadium. Once they are in, they are not allowed to leave the stadium. No pass out will be issued. No hanging on the external fence will be allowed.



1.5 The following streets will be affected and closed off on the day of the match:



- Soweto Highway North West of stadium


- N17 Link & Nasrec Road


- Nasrec Road & Sport and Recreation


- Booysens Reserve & Crownwood


- Nasrec Road & LandbouRoad, East of stadium


- Golden Highway & Ring road two


- Corner of Rand Show Road & Commerce Road , (point)


- Landbou Road & Ring Road,


- Nasrec Road & Rand Show Road, (point)



1.6 The gates will open at 11:30 and football lovers are requested to come early to the stadium to prevent unnecessary congestion at the gates.



1.7 The spectators are warned not to buy tickets on “Black Market “since the tickets produced may be fraudulent. Anyone caught with a fraudulent ticket will be arrested and charged.



1.8 The “Black market “runners are warned not to test the patience of the State Police since the selling of tickets is prohibited.



1.9 The traders outside and inside the stadium must have their trading licenses in their possession at all times. Inspection teams will check for compliance by the traders.



1.10 Person bringing juveniles with them are requested to take cautionary measures to avoid kids getting lost at the stadium. The cautionary measures may include arm bands with full details of a parent or guardian. We will however have a lost and found satellite office at the stadium.



1.11 Body searches will be conducted at all entry points/ gates and turnstiles and the following items will be regarded as prohibited items:



• Firearms / fireworks


• Sharp metal objects


• Kuduzela (music instrument)


• Explosives


• Tear gas, or similar airborne chemical agents


• Narcotics ( including dagga)


• Items which could cause injury e.g. sharp pointed umbrellas


• Banners of flags with either vulgar, racists, sexist , discriminatory or offensive content


• Ambush marketing items


• Animals


• Glass/ plastic bottles including squeezer bottles and cans,


• Liquor


• Drunkenness and unacceptable behavior,


• Dangerous weapons including knifes and sticks.



1.12 Cigarette selling at the stadium is prohibited.



1.13 The smoking of cigarettes on the stands is prohibited and spectators are urged not to smoke in the stadium.



1.14 Supporters are urged to make use of Rail services and BRT to prevent traffic congestion at the stadium. Those coming with their private vehicles are also urged to coordinate their transport and come with their friends in one vehicle if they are from same area.
