The much-awaited Absa Premiership Soweto Derby between the archrivals Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates is sold out. The sold-out sign went up on Monday afternoon. This is back-to-back of three matches in succession that will see the Glamour Boys play in front of capacity crowds. City to city, from Loftus Versfeld, to Moses Mabhida Stadium and now FNB Stadium, SOLD OUT!
KICK-OFF AT 15:30.
The Soweto Derby is scheduled to take place at the Mecca of South African football, FNB Stadium. The date is set for Saturday, 9th November with the clock set at 15:30 kick-off.
GATES OPEN AT 11:00.
The SAPS, METRO Police and Stadium Management of South Africa outlined their preparations and readiness at the Logistics Media Briefing held at the match venue on Monday morning. All in unison, preparations are completed through the ESSPC meeting as per compliance. The message is clearly Arrive Alive, arrive early and enjoy South African premier sporting event.
Top 6 taxis and Rea Busses will serve the public to and from the stadium. Do not arrive at the stadium without a ticket. There will be massive policing and law enforcement to deal with selling of counterfeit tickets and other public offences.
PARKING IS FREE
Motorists are advised to use designated parking areas and parking will be provided for FREE of charge.
MEDIA PARKING TICKETS AND SAD
Media parking and SADs are collectable at the Absa Premiership Soweto Derby Press Conference to be held on Thursday. Media will be required to rsvp via the PSL portal and produce their 2019/20 season accreditation at collections. Media without an SAD will not be allowed in the stadium.
LIVE BROADCAST
The match will be shown live on SuperSport 4, SABC 1 and SABC radio stations.
