Kaizer Chiefs vs MP Black Aces

FNB Stadium

Wednesday 09 April 2014

Welcome back Captain,

"Thank you, it has been an upsetting moment in my career to be sidelined by injury for a full month. It is all good to be back in the mix of playing. I missed the training sessions and the action of defending our league title,"

How was it watching your teammates playing in the past weeks both at Club and Country?

"It was both sad and good to have a perspective from the sidelines. I am just glad that I am back to contribute to our successful defending of our league title.

What kept you motivated during this time - you continued to work hard as we witnessed you at home and at the training ground?

"I think the support I received from everyone pushed me. My teammates, Coach and everyone including the Medical Team and the public encouragement me to keep hoping,"

How was it running on the pitch against Sundowns to mark your return?

"It felt great even though at the end of the game it was a bittersweet feeling after losing the game. We have another opportunity to rectify our mistakes and start a new chapter after Sundowns broke our non-losing streak at home in the league,"

Hard luck with the results against Sundowns, but you didn't show any rustiness during the game?

"I continued to work hard during my injury. I put a lot of hard work, talent without hardworking and passion won't get you anywhere,"

Black Aces is visiting you at FNB?

"Yes, that's another big game. They are a good Team. They have a good squad. Aces have quality players and their Coach (Barker) has been there. Clive barker is a tried and tested Coach. We are looking forward to the game,"

Message to the supporters?

"The fans must continue to come in their numbers at FNB Stadium. It always gives us an edge over the visiting Teams when the supporters are present and cheering us at the stadium," added Khune.

Khune was talking to kaizerchiefs.com about his return to the field after a month long absence due to injury.

Tickets for the mouth-watering clash are on sale at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers at a cost of R40 for adults and R10 for children accompanied by adults.
