The postponement is a result of a large public interest from the community in and around Johannesburg as well as the supporters of the club, who all wished to attend the event.
The Friday's event was scheduled as a media launch and the store was supposed to be launched to the public on Saturday, August 23.
"The unprecedented response we received for the opening of the store lead to the safety concerns, and therefore the Johannesburg Metro Police, Disaster Management as well as the City of Johannesburg are looking for ways to ensure the safety and security of all the people who will be involved and those who wish to attend at the event.
"We felt therefore it was appropriate that the event be postponed until the safety concerns have been addressed accordingly.
"Helping with the rejuvenation of the city centre is part of our community projects, hence we choose to set up of first store at the Gandhi Square, just as we did with our Acer Cyber Centre.
"We would like to apologies to our partners, government officials, VIPs as well as the supporters for the inconvenience caused by the postponement," added Casaletti.
A new date for the launch will be announced at a later stage.
