Kaizer Chiefs will be looking at continuing in the good run that has seen the team occupying the top spot on the log.

Mashamaite said, "The quicker we get back on the horse the better. The training this week showed we are back on it. We attended a lecture in this morning. We can't afford to have our heads stuck in the past. This journey is still long."

Mashamaite was talking at the media open day organised ahead of the Maritzburg United match on Saturday.

The tickets are on sale at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide at a cost of R40.

"I'm happy for the team and for winning the MTN 8 trophy. We are doing well. All the games haven't been easy. The more we collect points the difficult it will becomes," said Mashamaite.

Mashamaite spoke highly about the Maritzburg United Coach Steve Khompela, "He knows how to prepare the team. We have always played in close encounters against his teams. Our games against Maritzburg United are always close encounters."

Mashamaite reminded the supporters that the team cannot be complete without their support at the stadium.
