Thomas ‘Rambo’ Sweswe will be sidelined for up to three months due to a knee injury. This was revealed to kaizerchiefs.com on Wednesday afternoon by Team Physio, Dave Milner.

The injury to ‘Rambo’ is a setback for the Glamour Boys, who take on Orlando Pirates this weekend. Chiefs, who had to do without Siphiwe ‘Shabba’ Tshabalala since the league programme resumed in February, have already lost midfielder Reneilwe ‘Maestro’ Letsholonyane, possibly for the rest of the season.

“Sweswe will be undergoing an operation on his right knee and could be out for three months,” said Milner.

Meanwhile, Milner has revealed that striker Sthembiso Ngcobo, who has been out with an injured calf muscle, is expected back in action in about ten days.

A boost for the Glamour Boys, ahead of the Soweto Derby this coming weekend, is the return of Siphiwe Tshabalala, who scored the decisive goal the last time the two teams met back in September 2011.
