“This what this game presents an opportunity for the guys who have not been playing regularly to let the coach see them in a competitive match,” explained Dladla.
Last year Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona shot onto the scene with his performance in the Macufe Cup and Dladla believes that the opportunity presents itself for another young player to rise to the fore on Sunday.
With Musona away this year on international duty Dladla believes the door is open for a new star to rise out of the 2010 Macufe Cup “a lot of the players who are playing in the first team this year played in the Macufe Cup last year.
“So who knows after this year’s game maybe some other guys can get their chance in the first team, this game is a good opportunity for the coach to see the players and in a competitive scenario and for the players to use the chance to impress him.”
Dladla is hoping to get the opportunity to face Celtic on Saturday as it will give him the chance to stay match fit as the Amakhosi have been out of action since the 26th of September.
His target as he says is to make sure that Chiefs defend their Macufe Cup title, “we have a tradition of doing well in the Macufe Cup we won it last year and we would like to win it again, if we win on Sunday a lot of other good things can come from this.”
Beyond the Macufe Cup Dladla is aiming to get more game time as the season progresses of this he said, “physically I am feeling good, I have not felt this good in a long time and to continue my improvement I need to ensure that I get more game time.”
