This was following a disappointing goalless draw against Vasco Da Gama at Athlone Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The result left Chiefs in third place on 45 points, one off the pace of Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town who are both in action on Wednesday.
Jimmy Tau who together with his teammate, Siphiwe Tshabalala had travelled to Cape Town in support of their teammates told kaizerchiefs.com; “We keeping our heads up and now our focus is the game against Free State Stars. No one is going to do us any favours in this league. If we are to have our names written in the history of the Club we’ve got to bounce back to our winning ways.”
Tau also hailed the team spirit in the team, “We are a united front. We win together and we lose together as teammates. It is never about individuals but the brand.”
“It was encouraging to see people in Cape Town coming out in numbers in support of the team. We appreciate this as players,” added Tau.
