Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com the delighted Khune paid a glowing tribute to his teammates for a wonderful display that saw off the challenge from archrivals, Orlando Pirates.
“Teamwork won us the game. That was the difference between us and our opponents” said the goal minder who won Man of the Match for his dazzling performance between the poles.
“I am happy that we did not concede a goal which means we achieved our objective as a team not to concede. We played well and the pace of the game was high which suited us well. We were also able to slow the game down when we wanted to. I must say though that the pace of the game was the highest ever. I am very happy that as a defence armory we kept a clean sheet which is for the second consecutive game against Pirates after we beat them in Mafikeng in May” he said.
‘Itu’ added that he has not started thinking about the next assignment against Manchester United at Loftus on Saturday, “I will only start thinking about that in our next training session. With our goalkeeper coach, Rainer Dinkelacker we train the way we play. It will be then I will think about the next game.
“Our rollercoaster is far from ending as the Telkom Charity Cup is coming to a close. We urge all our supporters and fans to go all out and vote to secure our rightful position in the Telkom race” pleaded Khune
