Kaizer Chiefs’ centre-back Teenage Hadebe will return to training on Wednesday, ahead of the much-anticipated Soweto Derby. The Zimbabwean missed Amakhosi’s match against Bloemfontein Celtic last weekend.
Chiefs’ first team physiotherapist Dave Milner reports about the lanky defender, “Teenage felt a pain in his ankle last week and we decided to rest him for the Celtic game. Today we put him through some tests and we feel that he will be able to train the squad again.”
Another player making a return to training this week is Dumsani Zuma. “He has shrugged off the groin strain that sidelined him for the past three weeks,” Milners says.
The update on Kabelo Mahlasela is also encouraging. The midfielder was all smiles, jogging around the pitch on Tuesday morning. Chiefs’ physiotherapist comments, “He is jogging on the field and will do so for the next two to three weeks before joining his teammates at training.”
