Tefu Mashamaite has said that this season there will be no repeating of the wrongs’ of the past when the Glamour Boys welcome first division outfit, United FC in the semifinals of Nedbank Cup on the weekend of 4/5 May 2013.
The no nonsense’ defender who is having the season of his life at the heart of the Glamour Boys defense was speaking to kaizerchiefs.com at the Premier Soccer League headquarters following the semifinal draw that will see SuperSport United taking on Platinum Stars in the other semifinal.
“United FC will be as tough as SuperSport United or Platinum Stars that is why they are in the semifinals of the Nedbank Cup. We will prepare for them in the same way we have been doing for the other games this season.
“One thing is for sure - they will not be underestimated; This season is about undoing the wrongs of the past. It is our home game and we will be looking at keeping our home record intact this season.
The hard tackling defender added that United FC will not be a closed book; “We have seen some of their games and I watched the highlights of their win against Warriors.
They have some very good players of which some are on loan from PSL Clubs and known to us. They are very professional and it is not by fluke that they are at this stage of the competition. They will come to us full of confidence and we will need to do all we can to stop them,” added the player affectionately known to his teammates at the Village as ‘Masha’.
