His parents looked after us while growing up. Bobo as a person was humble. He would never hurt anyone and liked to joke around when we together with the guys. He was a guy who did not like to see people fighting and growing up we respected him. He earned his respect because he respected everyone, young and old. He was a leader on and off the field.
He went to play in Europe because growing up he knew exactly what he wanted to achieve in life. He always encouraged us together with the younger guys to work hard to achieve our dreams. He liked coaching youngsters and one of his dreams was to own a team.
Bobo will be surely missed by the community of Soweto as people really loved him there. He was a role model as the only player coming from our township to play overseas. Before his untimely death we would talk a lot over the phone and met occasionally.
I would like to take this opportunity to send my deepest condolences to his family, his friends and all those who are affected by his untimely departure. It was a call from Above!
May his soul rest in peace!
