The choir obtained position two in the Category C Youth Western and Cultural
Songs and went on to snatch the number one spot in the Category C Youth African Song competition. They also won the number one spot in the overall competition by being voted the best assembled choir of the event. They recieved R7000 in prize money.
Competing against formidable choirs from various local and afar-off communities, the Tsakane Based Amakhosi Choir under the baton of James Ndlovu has been the pride of the Kaizer Chiefs family since inception.
They have featured in funerals, weddings and a lot of other events as a strong force of young and talented choristers. Most choristers are school going and can hold their own against senior choirs in their township.
The Eisteddford has become an annual festive of choral music competitions that aims to showcase musical talents of young South African citizens. The choir has been invited to defend their championship in the 2010 choral music extravaganza .
