Goalkeeper Arthur Bartman believes that the break will not have major impact on the team’s preparations for the game against Santos next Friday, 20 November 2009.

Chiefs had in a space of 18 days played 6 games including the last game against Free State Stars.

“The coach is keeping us fresh and I must say that judging by the training methods we have been following at training the two weeks break will not have a major impact on our game,” said Bartman.

“We have played no less than six games since we played Mamelodi Sundowns mid October and all of a sudden we take a two weeks break and that sometimes can break the momentum.”

Bartman speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Thursday said the team has to build from the Free Stars result.

“What worked on that game is that we defended as a team. There was better communication amongst us, which was not the case against Mpumalanga Black Aces. We have put that behind us now and it is very important that we build from the Free Sate Stars victory when we meet Santos in Cape Town next week,” concluded “Batman” as Bartman is affectionately known in football circles.
