“We are looking forward to host the Free State-based Bloemfontein Celtic for our next Absa Premiership match at home, at the FNB Stadium,” Kaizer Chiefs spokesperson Vina Maphosa says. “The Kaizer Chiefs against Bloemfontein Celtic fixture will be played on Wednesday evening, 14 December, and this clash is always a fan favourite - sparks are expected to fly on and off the field when the two teams meet.”

“The tussle on the field is forever fierce and Siwelele Sa Masele with their legion of singing fan base will be met by the Gold and Black Amakhosi, known for glamour and style.”

The game is well suited for the festive season under the flood lights, more especially taking place at the iconic FNB Stadium, affectionately known as the Calabash.

Kick-off is at 19:30.

Siwelele are occupying an uncomfortable position on the log, thirteenth, with ten points after playing ten matches. Celtic came close to collecting maximum points at home against SuperSport United in their last fixture.

Amakhosi will be looking at this tantalising fixture to return to winning ways after experiencing a slump in recent games, losing to Chippa United away in Port Elizabeth. Chiefs are in seventh spot with seventeen points from twelve matches.

Tickets are on sale at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide for R40.
