Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Tinashe Nengomasha downplayed suggestions that he is back at his best following another five star performance on Wednesday night as the Amakhosi sent Golden Arrows packing in their own backyard.

Nengomasha who was voted ‘Man of the Match’ after the game, covered much of the grass at Chatsworth Stadium. His tenacity and sportsman attitude make him one of the best players in the league.

“My teammates should take the credit for my performances,” said the player who won Premier League Player of the Year in 2003/2004 season.

“I would prefer that we win a game as a team that being voted Man of the Match,” said Tinashe who also won the same award less than three weeks ago as Chiefs defeated Celtic at Super Stadium.

“I have been playing like this the whole season, so I would not say I am at my best now. I am taking each game with the same zest and fight for the team to win.

“The game against Golden Arrows is history. This weekend we have a crucial game against Free State Stars. It is important that as a team we pick up on Wednesday’s performance,” he concluded.
