Kaizer Chiefs is determined to maintain the upper hand when they face Mamelodi Sundowns in the eagerly awaited ABSA Premiership clash on Thursday, 23 April 2009. Amakhosi could not have chosen a better venue than its Durban based ‘happy hunting ground’, the ABSA Stadium.

If history is anything to go by, then Kaizer Chiefs’ uncompromised poise ahead of this game is rightfully placed. PHINDA MZALA!!!....loosely translated…LET’S DO IT AGAIN. Chiefs showed character in a not so easy encounter against relegation bound Bay United, beating them in their own backyard with a 2-0 score line.

This season, the Glamour Boys have already beaten Abafana Bastyle three times; in the Telkom Charity Cup, the lucrative MTN 8 Final and in the corresponding fixture of the ABSA Premiership. Not only that, but Muhsin Ertugral’s lads always rise to the occasion when playing against Sundowns, especially in a packed stadium, like envisaged in the Durban’s ABSA Stadium.

The Naturena based outfit is however mindful that Sundowns will go to Durban guns blazing especially after their loss to Thanda Royal Zulu on Wednesday night. Chiefs will be looking at getting those 3 points - so it is, PHINDA MZALA!!!.

The passionate, loyal and patriotic football fanatics who are expected to fill up the precinct, surely deserve a massively packed entertainment menu that features the likes of BIG NUZ (featuring DJ Tira), Ingqayizivele traditional dancers and DJ Siyanda. To top it up, KC Celebrities based in Durban will take on a Media Select Team which will be made up of media personalities from IGagasi FM, Ukhozi FM and the print media.

This surely gives football enthusiasts plenty of reasons to rush to Computicket and all Shoprite Checkers stores and secure their seats before going to the voting polls. Ticket sales have already shown the magnitude associated with this game and due to the election fever - football lovers will obviously buy their tickets well in advance to avoid disappointment. Adults will pay R20 while children will pay R10.

LET’S DO IT AGAIN!!!......PHINDA MZALA!!!
