The Kaizer Chiefs first Team will return for duty starting with their routine testing this Friday, 20 June 2014.
The pre-season programme will be triggered when the players start with their training next Monday on the 23rd of June.
The players have expressed their desire to return to action and their sense of anticipation has been palpable in every interview they have conducted with kaizerchiefs.com during the offseason break. During the off-season that started four weeks ago, some of the players enjoyed their rest while the others engaged in community work in line with the culture of giving back that the Club espouses.
The supporters too, have expressed their anticipation of the return to action of their team. Most of the supporters are keen to know what the plans are in terms of going forward into the 2014/15 PSL season.
All the plans will be shared with the football followers during the course of next week. The player movements will be announced as such, to inform the supporters and to end the rumours and speculations which are a norm during the transfer window period.
Communications Manager Vina Maphosa was upbeat when kaizerchiefs.com contacted him, "We are looking forward to welcome back our players at the Village tomorrow. The players will be taken through their testing programme before they start their pre-season training next week."
"We are all looking forward to a new beginning and we are inviting the supporters to continue with their support for the team. We are aware most of the supporters are eagerly waiting to know about the plans for the new season which we will reveal in the next week," said Maphosa visibly hungry to get back to action.
