There was euphoria as the Glamour Boys led by Head Coach; Vladimir Vermezovic had their first training session at Sam Nojuma Stadium just outside Windhoek on Friday morning.



Adoring fans from the nearby township came in numbers to witness players such as Itumeleng Khune, Kaizer Motaung Jr, Josta Dladla, Knowledge Musona and many others being taken through their paces ahead of the international friendly on Saturday, 31 July 2010.



Kaizer Chiefs have accepted an invitation to take on local side Eleven Arrows in what promises to be thrill-a-minute clash at Sam Nojuma Stadium. Kick off is at 15:00 (Namibia time).



It was an opening session where the fans, media got an opportunity interface and connect with the brand. Children from nearby Hope Village also came over to spend some time with their heroes after the two hour training session.



Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung who was also a hit with the locals told kaizerchiefs.com after the event how important was it for the players to interact with supporters in Namibia.



“Once again we would like to thank both Standard Bank and Hollard for making this event possible. It is important for the Club to be here...most important also is the fact that the players get to touch the next generation,” said the visibly delighted Jessica.

“We decided to take our Retail Team with and the fans got to buy Club’s merchandise. There has also been interest from some of our supporters’ who want to open supporter’s branches here in Namibia. This really augers well with our vision to extend the brand outside South Africa,” she added.



The Glamour Boys will return to training this afternoon at 15H30 (Namibian time).
