Mass Action Campaign

In an effort to get supporters to do their part in encouraging the boys on the field to do their best, Kaizer Chiefs today launched a new initiative called the 'Gold and the Beautiful'.

The concept entails all the Chiefs supporters attending the game on match days to be dressed in the Chiefs colours - gold.

"We want to try to achieve what was achieved in Korea in 2002, when all Koreans donned red T-shirts to show their support. This is a tradition very popular to the Holland national team. When the Dutch play, the stadium is orange," said Putco Mafani, club Public Relations Officer.

This promotion will go a long way in proving to the players that winning is not a matter of life and death it is more important than that!

"By supporters all coming to the stadium in one solid colour...gold, we can only inspire the players. This will be our message to the players to work hard and realise how important a win is to all of us."

The message of encouragement on-field is communicated to the team by Kaizer Chiefs coaches and management.

But by virtue of the sheer number of supporters that Chiefs enjoy, through a powerful unified message we will all be speaking with one voice. It will be our way of speaking up to say: "We are Gold and we are beautiful".

So please Amakhosi, if you are coming to Rustenburg on Wednesday night or Sunday afternoon make sure you are wearing... the Gold.

Tell your friends about it and lets show our team what MASS ACTION is all about.
