Kaizer Chiefs will be looking at bouncing back from a back to back defeat in the past two league games when they travel to Polokwane on Wednesday night.
Chiefs though returned to winning ways when they beat SuperSport United last Saturday, but that was in a Cup game. Captain Itumeleng Khune was looking ahead to the upcoming game.
You vowed to return to winning ways last weekend:
"It's a matter of trust and belief in the people that you work with. We all believed as a Team that we'll bounce back after the disappointment of last week. We know we suffered two defeats and we sat down as a Team to discuss it. Progressing to the finals of the Nedbank Cup will give us a boost,"
Switching from one competition to another (Nedbank Cup, Absa Premiership and CAF):
"On Wednesday we'll have to switch from the cup game to the league. The league is a marathon. Polokwane is our home away from home and we have good support there. It is going to be tough. Polokwane City has a top Coach in Boebie Solomons. They are also fighting to avoid relegation,"
League race:
"The league is still within our reach. We have to show the other title contenders that we are still in it by winning against Polokwane City. It is heading closer to the finishing line if you watch leagues around the world, it is tense for the Teams chasing the league trophies. Who would have thought Liverpool (England) and Atletico Madrid (Spain) would be on top of their respective logs. One thing for sure is that we have to work extra hard to turn the tables and get maximum points," added Khune
Tickets are on sale at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers nationwide at a cost of R40. No tickets will be sold at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Kickoff is at 19:30 and gates will be opened at 16:30.
