The team formerly known as the Rabbits who are now called “Amabhubesi” (The Lions) have never beaten Chiefs since gaining promotion to the PSL a season ago. Kaizer Chiefs have won two of the matches 2-0 and played one to a goalless draw. Not only will “Amabhubesi” be looking to register their first, but they will also be looking to score their first ever league goal against the Phefeni Glamour Boys.
But this time around “Amabhubesi” will have a lot to play for as three of their key men in three different positions are all former Chiefs Players who would like prove a point to Coach Muhsin Ertugral and their former team. The Chiefs former players are:
Patrick Mayo (defender)
Emmanuel “Scara” Ngobese (Midfield)
Serge Djiehoua (Striker)
