Kick Off: 19h30.

Wednesday night, 26 November 2008, will mark a historic return of Kaizer Chiefs to their ancestral pitch and much talked-about, Orlando Stadium. Amakhosi will lock horns with the rampant Golden Arrows, otherwise known as Abafana Besthende in the ABSA Premiership encounter. Without a shadow of a doubt, the good looking Phefeni Glamour boys, will attract a huge support from South Africa’s soccer loving fanatics particularly from their ancestral home, the Greater Soweto.

Kaizer Chiefs lads were ‘guns blazing’ on Saturday night when they showed no mercy for the Students (Wits) drubbing them 4-1 in their own backyard, the Bidvest Stadium. The Amakhosi’s thrilling but destructive performance saw a stylish introduction of the newly acquired Nigerian goal poacher, Ibe Zito Obgonna, who scored a brace on the night, which certainly enlisted Kaizer Chiefs in the running for the 2008/09 Premiership honours.

Orlando Stadium holds a symbolic place in the heart and soul of an illustrative history of Kaizer Chiefs and for this reason, the Amakhosi Family forewarns football lovers of a seductive and reminiscent home-coming of the Phefeni Glamour boys. The game has thus turned to be a “can’t miss” and as early as Saturday morning, tickets were already on sale at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers for as little as R20 for adults and R10 for children. This world class football stadium has limited seating and it is advisable that fans get there early enough to avoid disappointment.

Due to the lack of parking at the stadium, The City of Joburg Transportation Department have provided safe and secure Park & Ride facilities. The service will be available at absolutely NO COST. Please make use of this service.
