The Preview: AmaZulu vs. Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs coach, Muhsin Ertugral has revealed that he is not taking anything for granted as Kaizer Chiefs travel to face AmaZulu in Durban this coming Sunday.

The Glamour Boys have had an upper hand over AmaZulu in this fixture over the years with Chiefs winning a total of 23 games in 35 meetings since 1985. Usuthu also received a 3-0 hammering when they travelled to Loftus in November last year.

“You cannot take anything for granted in football. This is the same team that has given other top sides in the league a run for their money in the league. They are also playing at home which makes them dangerous,” said Ertugral.

“We are coming back from a good win against Bloemfontein Celtic last weekend but that is now water under the bridge…AmaZulu is our focus this weekend. I am happy to have most of the players available for this upcoming game with an exception of Josta Dladla who is suspended.

It is a good headache when you have most of your players available for selection. We have a training session this afternoon (Friday) and on Saturday and then we will make a decision on who is going down to Durban,”

“We gave Celtic a lot of space both in the middle and in our defense, we cannot afford to do that against AmaZulu. I had a word with the boys this week and they understand the importance of this game,” he added.
