Moses Mabhida Stadium

Kickoff 19:00

We have to put our front foot forward

Coach Baxter sounded confident about his Team' chances to beat the Mozambican League (Moçambola) Champions, Liga Desportiva Muçulmana de Maputo (Mozambique) on Saturday night.

"It has been a pleasure this week to have two training sessions. We have not held a real training session in about a month. It has been a matter of constant travelling, and then recuperation and a talk about the next opponents. We would move on to do a light prematch training and go on to play a game," said Baxter.

"The two training sessions we've held this week was really noticeable that the players needed that. The two training sessions were fantastic. The players went through their paces with much energy and motivation. We are physically and tactically sound," commented Baxter.

"We know the Mozambican Team is a good team. They had about 7 of their players in the Mozambique National Team during CHAN. They are a quiet good side. Mozambique gave Bafana Bafana a tough game during CHAN. Tactically we are ready for them and with small adjustments here and there, we will make them feel this is our home turf. We are looking forward to the game. Hopefully it will be a good game for everyone watching," commented Baxter.

"We have a limited knowledge about them. Their televised games are restricted but we have the three footages of their three games to review. The footage will give us an opportunity to identify trends in their game. That doesn't mean we will know all about their play, on match day they might decide to defend or come at us with all their guns blazing or anything between that. We have a good feel of what to expect," continued Baxter.

"We will put out front foot forward. They must know they are playing on our home turf," said Baxter.

"We have had a couple of games where we rotated our squad. The lads have all come to the party, they all stood up. We have picked up some good wins along the way of this tough period. It has been pleasing to win games. The down side of the rotation system is the break in the momentum; where we didn't play well we dug deep to make it difficult for our opponents. We will play a good game on Saturday," said Baxter.

On his personnel, Baxter confirmed the return of Tsepo Masilela to full training and the fullback will be available for selection. The only concern recorded for this trip is a hip injury ruling out George Lebese from this fixture.
