Absa PREMIERSHIP
Kaizer Chiefs v Golden Arrows
FNB Stadium
Wednesday 02 April 2014
19h30 kick-off
Kaizer Chiefs will look to extend Golden Arrows’ losing streak in the Absa Premiership when the teams meet at FNB Stadium on Wednesday, 02 April 2014, kick-off at 19h30.
Chiefs racked up their 15th league win of the season in their last outing, defeating Ajax Cape Town 2-0. The Soweto giants boast an unbeaten home record this season, with eight wins and two draws from 10 matches as hosts.
Coach Baxter has expressed confidence ahead of their clash against bottom of the log Golden Arrows,
"We will ring some changes, some enforced and some as part of our rotation system given the tight schedule we are playing under. People must not make a mistake to think that they are at the bottom of the log then it will be a walk in the park,"
"We will play to our utmost best knowing the damage that Arrows can cause on their day. Arrows can play good football and we have to be at our best to win the game,"
"We are ready and the boys look sharp. I am happy with the prematch practice that we held this afternoon,"
The Amakhosi are placed first on the Absa Premiership log with 49 points from 22 matches.
In head-to-head stats, Chiefs and Arrows have met in 27 league matches since 2000/01. The Amakhosi have 14 wins compared to six for Abafana Bes’thende, while seven matches have been drawn.
When the teams met earlier this season, the Amakhosi won 1-0 in Durban thanks to a penalty from Parker.
Tickets for the game taking place at FNB Stadium are selling for R40 Adults and R10 Children at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide.
