Botswana challenge:

Kaizer Chiefs will be taking on Mochudi Centre Chiefs in the Botswana Challenge on Saturday, 16 November 2013. Kickoff for the game at the National Stadium in Gaborone is at 19:00.
Coach Stuart Baxter said the weekend is a bit complicated due to different events taking place during the Fifa week.

“The weekend is eventful and it is important how we use the time efficiently. It is rather a complicated weekend. We are going to play in Botswana against our namesake Mochudi Centre Chiefs. They are a reputable side, having won their premier league last season. With six of our players involved in the National Duty, we will use the game to keep the other players fit as well as giving a run to the players that need some game time.

Captain Itumeleng Khune, Tsepo Masilela, Reneilwe Letsholanyane, Tefu Mashamaite, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Bernard Parker are the six Glamour Boys that are on National Duty. Bafana Bafana play Swaziland on Friday, 15 November 2013, in Swaziland and on Tuesday, 19th November 2013, they will take on the European and World Champions, Spain, in SA.

We are going to Botswana for a win. Every time we go on to the pitch, we want to win and it will not be different in Gaborone. The conditions will be different. It will be very hot and probably the pitch will be difficult as well. The opponents will be a different type from what we play against week in and week out. It is good for our preparations for CAF next year where we will be facing similar opponents.

At the end of the day, we will do our best to win and play good system at the same time;” said Coach Baxter.

In the absence of the Bafana Bafana players, Coach Baxter will still be spoilt for choice in Erick Mathoho, Keegan Ritchie, Siyabonga Nkosi, Lehlohonolo Majoro, George Lebese, Willard Katsande, Pa Gaxa, Josta Dladla, Ivan Bukenya, Morgan Gould and Mandla Masango.
