Coach Stuart Baxter acknowledged that Platinum Stars are one of the danger Teams in the league Baxter was speaking to kaizerchiefs.com ahead of the much anticipated clash between the Amakhosi and the Rustenburg based Dikwena.

"They are one of the dangerous teams in the league. Stars have already bagged one trophy this season (Platinum Stars are 2013/14 MTN 8 Champions).

Their confidence will be very high. They are also doing well in the league and still look hungry. They have talented and influential players in their squad. We know very well that we have to work very hard to go through, as they are a very difficult side to play against;" Baxter was speaking after taking his charges through the prematch training on Friday afternoon.

Looking at his personnel;

"We have Tsepo Masilela, Lucky Baloyi,Kaizer Jnr and Jimmy Jambo out with an assortment of injuries. Knowledge Musona is back and available for selection. Whether I start him or use him as impact player later in the game is something I am still pondering.

We have a full squad which gives me several options. There may well be changes, positionally and in personnel. I will sleep over it to come up with the decision;" said a visibly confident Chiefs Mentor.

It's a knockout competition and Baxter was adamant that his side always want to kill the game as quickly as possible despite the knockout game being a 90min plus affair:

"We plan to kill each and every game we play as early as possible. We will do the same with this one. But in the knockout gamewinning in the first or last second of the game yields same results, a passage to the next round," commented Baxter.

Records:

Kaizer Chiefs are the most successful Team in this competition with 13 trophies. The Amakhosi have won 3 of the trophies in the TKO era. Chiefs beat Platinum Stars 2-0 infinal of the same competition in 2003 while the North West based outfit, Dikwena, have surprised the Glamour Boys when they knocked them out of the same competition in the QF and Last 16 of the same competition in 2006/7 and 2011/12 respectively.
