The reigning 2013 Nedbank Champions Kaizer Chiefs will be taking on the Nedbank Ke Yona Team on Sunday afternoon.

First Team Assistant Coach Doctor Khumalo and Reserves' Coach Ace Khuse took the Amakhosi players through their paces on Saturday morning ahead of the much anticipated clash.

Khumalo looked ahead to the trip to Atteridgeville with confidence,

"We will field a combination of some of the Development players and the First Team players. The game will not be isolated from our broader development programme. It is part of our bigger goal of producing top quality footballers at Chiefs," said Khumalo.

"On paper it's a friendly, but we want to instil a winning mentality to this young lads. Chiefs brand will also be at stake hence we have prepared accordingly. The main focus will be on discipline and for the lads to enjoy themselves," continued Khumalo.

"Some of the lads on display are semi-professional already. They are developing and we are polishing them for the future. We want to make them understand the game at the professional level. We teach them the Chiefs way of doing things. The fans will also see a little bit of what I used to do in the field as some of the lads have got some skills," commented Khumalo.

"We don't know much about the opponents as they are a select team of guys around the country. They will be dangerous to play against. They are a closed book, but they'll be more dangerous because of their hunger to showcase their skills and to attract the attention of the scouts. All in all we will not dance to their tune, they must dance to our tune," said Khumalo.

The game is anticipated to be an entertaining one with Lucas Moripe Stadium filled to capacity. The fans are advised to only get closer to the stadium if they have already collected their free match ticket from Computicket.

Kickoff is at 15:00.
