From 1985, in 46 league games Kaizer Chiefs have won 26 times, losing 8 times while 12 games were drawn. One thing about Kaizer Chiefs vs. Moroka Swallows games – they have always been entertaining and mostly absorbing games.
Kaizer Chiefs veteran winger Arthur Zwane having been with Chiefs for the more than seven seasons knows that the game against Swallows will not be easy,
“It is the derby after all,” he said.
“We have to stick to basics and our game plan. This is a huge game for us and we all know that playing against Swallows - pride is at stake. They can be tough at times as they proved last year when they beat us in Durban. They again got the better of us when we last played them in Rustenburg, a month ago” said the Meadowlands born player.
Zwane is on a high now having scored with his first touch against Ajax Cape Town last weekend. He might have been on the field for less than a minute, “In football you need to have a little bit of luck. The goal has brought back my confidence. Shooting to score is something we all have been working hard on at training. The Coach is pushing us hard to take our chances during games. I am hoping it is just a start of more goals to come”.
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs will welcome the services of midfielder, Reneilwe Letsholonyane on Sunday after missing out against Ajax Cape Town due to suspension.
