Kaizer Chiefs 2 - 0 Ajax Cape Town

What's your overall reaction to the win?

"We are delighted with this win. The players were magnificent and their approach was excellent. If you look at our schedule and the intensity of our programme you have to give credit to the players. The other difficulty was coming into this game after the derby, the lads showed great attitude,"

What was the turning point from missing so many chances in the 1st half?

"First of all the pitch was difficult. It was hard and wet after the heavy rains. The players from both sides found it difficult when they got into finishing positions. They could not get the right balance to control the ball. They had to go for an extra touch and ended up losing their footing and shooting under pressure.

We spoke about it at halftime and asked the guys to become more balanced on the ball. We spoke about maintaining possession and passing instead of going for goal when they are not balanced to take a shot,"

You were angry with the boo brigade - tell us about that?

"I mean, the booing has a psychological effect on the Team as a whole. The game was tight, the schedule is horrible and we are occupying a top spot in the league.

The players are working their socks off and to suffer indignity is uncalled for from a small section of the crowd. At this stage we need confidence but the fans are making it more difficult with their booing,"

"The main reason of supporting the team is to pull together as the supporters behind the Team. The booing action has an adverse effect on the players's attitude. This is also dragging the name of the Club in the mud. We are making the appeal to the real Kaizer Chiefs supporters to change this behaviour, very quickly,"

What does this win mean to your title aspiration?

"This is a very important win and we can say that about every other game. It keeps the momentum going and validates our stance to take it one game at the time,"

Said Stuart Baxter who has seen his side beating all the 15 teams in this season and stretching Chiefs's unbeaten run to 25 in the league at home.
