Kaizer Chiefs lost narrowly to their fellow title contenders Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday. The Tshwane based outfit won vis a solitary goal in the 76th minute from Teko Modise. The goal gave Sundowns a crucial victory over Kaizer Chiefs to take them level on points with Chiefs at the top of the Absa Premiership.



Coach Baxter looked back at the proceedings of the game,



"Sundowns taught us that goals win games. That's what basically happened in both gained against them,"



The game,




"They controlled the opening minutes of the game. From the 20th minute we took over and got the game where we wanted it,"



Sundowns goal,




"We did take our chances when we had the game in control. The next thing we saw a long ball played in the box and that resulted in a goal for them. Congratulations to Sundowns,"

"We play to win in each and every game we play. Personally and that goes with every Coach, we look forward to a win in every game we play. The bridged out Fortress. I can't fault the players because my players worked hard and played well,"



Baxter expressed his disappointment with the results but point out that his side will lick their wounds and sharpen their swords and move on.
