Kaizer Chiefs 0

Mpumalanga Black Aces (0) 1 (Timm 90+4’)

Chiefs were humbled 0 - 1 at home against MP Black Aces on Wednesday night. It was a second 0 - 1 loss in a row at home for Chiefs in a space of five days,

Coach Baxter expressed disappointment at the proceedings and urged his troops to regain their mental strength that saw them win the league and cup double last season,

About the play:

"We can play better tactically. We played ok at times but our finishing lacked composure. Our mental skills were poor tonight. We were panicking and lacked discipline which led to their goal. It was not a pleasant night for us,"

Any tired legs out there:

"We do not want to bring that into the dressing room because you start to bring negativity into the situation. We don't want to make cheap excuses,"

Chances of winning the league,

"Not in the way we are playing. I think everybody now must be licking their lips at the prospects of playing against us. We must get back our mental strength that was lacking tonight. We must return to our mental strength and the sort of performance that we have given in the past 18 months,"

Missed chances in the game:

"We are finishing nervously. We seem to have anxiety and look tired in front of goals,"

The dressing room:

"No point to throw cups in the dressing room. The players know they must find it in themselves to give the performances that are conducive to win the league," added Baxter

Chiefs moved to second place in the log following yesterday's results.
