Coach Stuart Baxter was a happy man even though it was a bittersweet taste to swallow, as his side finished on a high despite the league already lost to Sundowns going into the final games of the 2013/14 Absa Premiership.

Coach Baxter who earlier congratulated Sundowns for their win, this time thanked the Amakhosi Faithful for showing support to his Team throughout the season,

"I would like to thank the supporters, the real supporter, the one that has travelled this arduous journey of this season with us," said Baxter.

You scored 3 - 0 in the last game of the season?

"I am pleased with the win this afternoon. The points we collected here today would have won the league in any season but they were not enough to defend our trophy this time," said Baxter.

Your players seem to have heeded your call to play this game as professionals even though the league was decided already?

"Yes, we came here knowing the league is concluded. But we are professionals and coming here to play this way, really makes me pleased. The players stuck it out and went on with business as usual. We could have been flat and lapse today, but we showed character and won the game," said Baxter.

Bukenya won the Man of the Match?

"I am happy for him. Ivan played well and introduced himself as a candidate going forward. He is working hard and he understands his role in the Team," said Baxter.

The Amakhosi finished the season on second position, amassing 63 points, just two points behind the Champions Sundowns. Chiefs won 19 games, drew 6 and lost 5. Chiefs scored 43 and conceded the least number of goals in the league with 17 goals.
