"It was a good spectacle for the fans. But, it doesn't take away the emotions from the match," reviews Steve Komphela.

Komphela watched and often agitated on the bench even though the man in charge in the first half was a Champion Coach Sidney Molepo. "Sidney was fantastic to work with. He is well spoken and one is able to hear what he says," commends Komphela.

"We played a few practice matches in the preseason," adds Komphela. "We still have a lot of work to put in the team. In terms of these matches losing on penalties, I can't see any fault from my players."

"Khune is back and we welcome him back," responds Komphela. "No one will walk straight into the starting lineup. What message will I be sending to the other players if Khune walks straight into the starting lineup. Pieterse played a blinder."

"We are going to train tomorrow," confirms Komphela. "Mathoho is out of the injury list, just left with match fitness. Baloyi is still out, as is Cardoso. Morgan is making progress, while Mtsweni has done surgery on his foot."

Kaizer Chiefs return to FNB Stadium to play their PSL season opener on Wednesday when they face Maritzburg United in the Mtn8 Cup quarter-finals. Kick-off is at 19:30.
