Nzama who hobbled through the celebrations was only expected to return to action in February next year and has made unexpected speedy recovery. Cyril speaking after training on Monday is more than happy to see the back of this episode “it has been a frustrating time the last couple of months as I had to sit out some important games, I am just happy to have resumed full training and will be available from the end of the month,” added Nzama.
Club physiotherapist David Milner has said that Coach Ernst Middendorp deserves credit in guiding Cyril through his injury and helped the defender cut down the recovery time. Milner said: “The coach assessed Cyril’s situation and put him on a certain training regime which, saw Cyril cut down his recovery time and recover miraculously fast.”
Milner further added that the physician who worked with Nzama Doctor Mark Ferguson had assisted in ensuring that Cyril would be available sooner rather than later. Nzama reacting when asked about his quicker than expected recovery quipped “I could not sit at home and I made it clear to the coach I wanted to play, it was hard work getting here and all I can say it was well worth the fight.”
With Nzama at full training the next battle will come when he begins to play in friendly matches next week and starts the fight for a place in the starting line up.
