Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane took another step in his recovery from a knee injury, he sustained during a friendly exhibition match against Orlando Pirates on July 30.

As he trained with the rest of the Amakhosi first team squad for most of their training session on Monday morning.



After the session an upbeat Letsholonyane said, “I feel much better than I have in the last couple of weeks. Although I did not complete the entire session I am happy to have participated in most of it and come through it without any problems.”



Letsholonyane overall has made good progress coming through the injury and he credited the clubs medical team for assisting him as he continues working his way back to full fitness, as he further commented saying.



“I feel very happy and motivated that everything has gone so well and I am grateful for that. Also credit must go to our medical team and all the doctors that I visited, they did a really great job in helping me.”



With his recovery taking a step forward Letsholonyane is now plotting his ultimate return to action, “I am not sure at this stage when I will be ready to start playing again, I will wait to see what the medical personal say.



I am a very motivated player and I always want to be out on the field contributing to the team, the thought of playing again and visualizing myself playing, is what is pushing and getting me through this injury.

I am going to do my best to ensure that when I do get back I am in good physical shape.”



With his first training session in over three weeks with the rest of his teammates completed things are look up for Letsholonyane and as he explains the he will take a lot of positives forward with him.



“Getting back to training is always the hard part, now that I have my first training session under my belt I am now looking ahead to the rest of the week’s sessions.

Like I said earlier I will be guided by the coach and the medical staff as to how I exert myself and let’s take it from there.”
