South Africa beat Costa Rica 1-0 early this (Friday) morning with Andile Jali scoring the winner. The friendly match was played in San Jose.

Kaizer Chiefs players Itumuleng Khune, Erick Mathoho and George Lebese all started for Bafana Bafana.

Lebese, however, was replaced by coach Shakes Mashaba in the 78th minute.

South Africa plays another international friendly against Honduras on Wednesday, 14 October.
