Ertugral believes that his team have made significant improvements over the last few games and that they are on the right track in terms of qualifying for the top eight, he further more feels that there good away form through the season should continue on when they travel to Rustenburg for Sunday’s match against Moroka Swallows.
Loving it
The disappointment of exiting the Cup weighed his team down heavily and Ertugral needed to act to remedy the situation and as he told kaizerchiefs.com he has helped his players get their focus back on towards finishing as a top eight qualifier. “We could not mull to much on the Nedbank Cup game, we now had to look towards these next seven league matches with a view towards ending somewhere between positions one – eight on the league. So we have got the teams morale up again and have had a lot fun in the training sessions over the last three – four days, and the Cup is behind Swallows is in front and then another go at Sundowns after that. So it is only in our best interests to aim for six points in the next two games, and we have set ourselves a new target and that is to get into position five”. Muhsin Ertugral is not putting his team under any pressure as they enter the final straight of the season.
Swallows flier
Ertugral believes that with both Chiefs and Swallows out of the Nedbank Cup both teams will be looking to get more out of their remaining league matches, which will make Sunday’s game all the more interesting and entertaining as a contest.
Speaking of the impending clash with Swallows he said “Swallows like us have only the league matches to think about so that means that come Sunday it will be an interesting derby, Swallows are not the kind of team who wait for you to make all moves they like to attack and take the match to the opposition. They have a good goal scoring record this season and have the leagues top goal scorer, which demonstrates the quality that lies within their teams.
