Restart
With their last chance of winning more silverware for the season having slipped them by, Tau believes that the only cup that Chiefs should now be thinking about is next seasons top eight tournament. He stated his case to kaizerchiefs.com explaining “what happened on Sunday is now behind us, we have to live with elimination and pick our selves up and give Swallows a tough time on Sunday. We do not want to miss out on the Supa8 competition for a second consecutive season, the only way we can avoid that kind of disappointment is to be thinking of getting the maximum number of points out of our remaining fixtures”.
Tough run in
Tau has described Chiefs remaining matches as a tough challenge as The Amakhosi face stern opposition as they see out the 2007 – 2008 season, with the likes of Moroka Swallows, Mamelodi Sundowns, Bloemfontein Celtic and Orlando Pirates amongst the teams they still have to face in the next few weeks. He said of this “no game is ever easy for Chiefs as every team we play comes out fighting against us, we though will need to be one up on them and make sure that we take every game more serious than a cup final. These matches should be treated as qualifying games by us, one slip up could see us not qualify for the Supa8, given the rivalry we share with Swallows, Sundowns, Celtic and Pirates winning these matches in particular will give our fans a lot of reason to smile”.
