Torrealba: All is not lost

Posted in News on Dec 10, 2008.

Kaizer Chiefs striker, Jose Torrealba revealed the team’s disappointment following the loss against Santos in Cape Town over the weekend but the Venezuelan said he and his teammates are determined to put that disappointment aside ahead of the Bay United fixture on Sunday, 14 December 2008 which is being played at Olympia Stadium in Rustenburg.

Chiefs will have an opportunity to redeem themselves when they take on newly promoted Bay United this weekend. Bay United has already sent both Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns packing in the league and they will be determined to beat Chiefs too.

“We have not really spoken about our loss against Santos. We were all disappointed. We know that we missed an opportunity to put pressure on both Ajax Cape Town and Supersport United. The game against Bay United is very important for us as the difference between us and pace setters, Supersport United and Ajax Cape Town is not huge. If we win, we will be back on track,” he said.

The encounter against Bay United will be the Glamour Boy’s second last game before the league Christmas recess.

Kick off for the game is at 16h00. Tickets are already on sale at various Shoprite/Checkers outlets and Computicket around the country.
