The Chairman’s little tearoom is already alive with carefully arranged tea sets for his comfort. Next to his office a sweet voice is already answering incessant requests, and concerns directed at him.
The loving care of all these caring personnel also spoils our young boys at the development. As for the players’ quarters, there is no doubt that some anointed hands would have done magic by keeping them hospitable.
The voice that links all of us to the crazy world of football resides in some welcoming heart of the three that share our reception area.
The guardroom at the security entrance has three of them that humbly usher us in as we jostle for parking space in the premises.
Hard working horses that would have otherwise spent some time before the mirror to ensure that the right colours are blended to massage their facial contours man three administration offices. The aroma of their perfume engulfs our passages as we step to notice their angelic presence.
At the stadiums they ululate, scream and shout encouragement to their soldier suns that burn their hearts in the field of play. They are most vocal when one of their sons is roughed and injured. They are quick to show emotions when their sons are pulling hard on the day.
In meetings they shoulder the natural responsibility of providing properly arranged tables and halls. After such meetings they guarantee our comfort by generously offering refreshment. They never fail. At funerals, weddings, and any other gathering they marshal us into respectable corners just to show that they are anointed to care!
These are our women at Naturena and beyond. They are mothers, sisters and aunts to all the men that constitute the entire family of the mighty Amakhosi. Theirs is to share and sacrifice their motherly anointing in an environment known for its rugged and machismo design; the world of football.
Let me hail your motherhood as you celebrate this month. Let me appreciate your kindness and your unselfish sacrifice in this world that is defined as unforgiving and very tough! Let me appreciate the opportunity to meet you in the stands and everywhere the kasizer Chiefs family is gathered.
Let all the Amakhosi women know that we share your challenges. We are conscious of your uniqueness and we really honour the opportunity of sharing our lives with you.
Let all the women know that Kaizer Chiefs holds them in high esteem.
HALALA MAKHOSIKASI!
