The Club would like to assure the Amakhosi faithful that the Championship and the Nedbank Cup trophies belong to everyone associated with Kaizer Chiefs.

The Trophy Parade that took place on Tuesday, 28 May 2013 in Johannesburg and Soweto streets through the Gauteng Legislature, ABSA Towers and Phefeni was not the end, the Club announced after receiving numerous calls of concern from Amakhosi supporters who thought the Trophy Parade was reserved for Johannesburg and Soweto.

To clarify the process, the Parade started in Johannesburg and Soweto for the following reasons:

• Johannesburg is the Club Headquarters

• Protocol dictated that the Trophy be presented to Gauteng MEC of Sports and ABSA Headquarters (Championship backers) both situated in Johannesburg

• Phefeni in Soweto is where it all started 43 years ago

The Marketing Director Jessica Motaung clarified the matter to the supporters; ”The planning is underway to get the trophies to as many people as possible. We will make announcements in due course. Meanwhile we would like to thank everyone who shared the Moments of Glory with the Club during the Parade”.

The Glory Continues!
