Amakhosi midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala’s recent return to action and the fine form that he has displayed for Chiefs during their recent PSL matches against BidVest Wits and SuperSport United has been rewarded by Carlos Alberto Parreira with a call up to the Bafana Bafana squad.

Tshabalala will make a return to the national team fold after missing out on a number of call up’s over the past couple of months due to injury. He along with Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune will be part of Parreira’s 20 man squad who will do battle in the COSAFA Cup semi final against Botswana in Attridegville on the 29th September.



Tshabalala delight



Tshabalala was delighted at hearing the news that he had been included by Parreira in the COSAFA Cup squad, and believes that this is a way for him to finding himself in contention for a place in the national that will travel to Ghana for next years Africa Cup of nations.



Tshabalala told kaizerchiefs.com “when you come back from injury and then pick up another one you are skeptical about the way things are going to turn out but thankfully have everything has worked out perfectly for me since my return to action at the end of August. It is now up to me to make the most of the opportunities open to me and get my national team aspirations back on track, in the same way that my club career has now begun to take shape”.
