Siphiwe Tshabalala struggled with a slight injury during the last few weeks of pre-season, but he’s back in the starting line-up for the crucial MTN8 quarterfinal against SuperSport United on Saturday evening.
Otherwise, coach Steve Komphela has opted to field more or less the same line-up the supporters voted for to start in the recent the Carling Black Label Champions Cup game against Orlando Pirates.
Two of the new signings, Bhongolethu Jayiya and Philani Zulu, will be on the bench. Especially Jayiya could be a threat going forward if he comes on, hitting the target with 55 percent of his shots, while scoring with 25 percent of his attempts in the PSL last season.
The match between Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United will take place at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium this Saturday evening (kick-off is at 20:15).
The clash will be refereed by Phelelani Ndabi.
