The Serbian-born coach was addressing the media at Club’s HQ in Naturena during the Media Open Day.
Midfielder, Siphiwe Tshabalala despite travelling with the rest of the team missed the game against Eleven Arrows in Namibia last weekend due to slight injury on his foot.
“Tshabalala will play on Saturday. We are hoping to play two teams and try and give everyone a chance to play is it is possible,” said Vermezovic.
However the outspoken Vermezovic shifted the spotlight away from the Bafana Bafana midfielder saying that he expects players like Mandla Masango, Punch Masenamela, Abia Nale and Mthokozisi Yende to continue with their steady rise this season.
“It is important that the players show that what they achieved with the team towards the end of last season was not a fluke.
We understand each other better this season having been together for more than a year.
These guys have experience now having played against some of the top teams in the PSL and they also won a trophy with the team.”
People say that we have not signed credible players but I am confident that with the squad that we have we can do better than we did last season. I do not want to make promises - because football is football - but my players will give 100% on the field of play in every game they play starting on Saturday,” added the coach who has earned himself a nickname’ VV’ in the football circles.
