Kaizer Chiefs received a shock when they lost 4-3 to determined University of Pretoria on Saturday night. Chiefs thought they had the game under their belt when they came from behind to score two goals via the boot of Jose Torrealba (42nd minute) and Josta Dladla (28th minute).

The Glamour Boys had made two changes to the team that started against Bidvest Wits University with winger, Josta Dladla replacing injured Arthur Zwane while at the back young Punch Masenamela came in for a suspended, Onismor Bhasera.

It was Masenamela’s second start of the season having made his debut back in January against Maritzburg United.

It was Tuks who threatened first when Andile Jali sent a clever chip looking for Mhlonishwa Dlamini but Itumeleng Khune who kept his Bafana Bafana place in the squad to play both Norway and Portugal later this month was quick to react leaving his line to thwart the danger.

Super Stadium for a moment brought to silence when Tuks opened the scoring with a superb strike from Mthokozisi Yende in the 23rd minute.

Captain Jimmy Tau came close to grabbing an equaliser for the Glamour Boys when he found space to shot inside the box but the opposition goalkeeper; Siya Mngoma pulled a good save.

Five minutes later, Tuks finally cracked with Chiefs pilling the pressure; this was when winger Josta Dladla scored from three mitres to the corner spot. It was Dladla’s first goal since joining the Glamour Boys early this year.

“JD” as Josta Dladla is affectionately known was in the thick of things a two minutes later when he beautifully set up for Abia Nale but the latters' tame shot was easily saved by Siya Mgnoma.

Jose Torrealba grabbed the second goal in the 42nd minute for the Glamour Boys when he ran to a through pass from Abia Nale sending Chiefs’ faithful to a frenzy.

Halftime score 2-1 to Chiefs.

Kaizer Chiefs mentor, Muhsin Ertugral brought the experienced Thabo “Tsiki-tsiki” Mooki in the 55th minute for Reneilwe Letsholonyane.

But it was Tuks who scored an equaliser through substitute, Phenyo Mongala in the 63rd minute. Captain, Jimmy Tau’s protest to the referee counted for nothing. The defender claimed to have heard a whistle and watched Mongala scoring.

Tuks continued to threaten Amakhosi as in the 69th minute, Thabo Moleko grabbed a third goal with Chiefs defense at sea.

Substitute, Kaizer Motaung Jr. earned Chiefs a penalty when referee, Thabo Nkosi adjudged defender, Warren Bishop to have brought down the striker.

Siphiwe Tshabalala stepped up and sent keeper, Siya Mngoma the wrong way, 3 all at Super Stadium.

Tuks though had other ideas as substitute; Thabo Moleko beat Jimmy Tau to the ball to slot home a remarkable winner sending Tuks to the next round of the competition.
