Kaizer Chiefs have released talented center forward Sizwe Twala to GladAfrica Championship (NFD) team Swallows FC. Swallows are currently fourth on the log.
Twala was promoted to the Chiefs first team ahead of the current season, after spending time with the Chiefs reserve team last season.
The 22-year-old Twala who will turn 23 later this year has been released in order for him to gain valuable game time which will further aide his development. He was an unused substitute for the Chiefs first team in two league games this season in back to back home wins over Baroka and Golden Arrows back in September and October.
The Soweto-born center forward netted 11 goals for the Chiefs reserve team during the 2018/19 Multichoice Diski Challenge and was the reserve league’s joint top scorer in the same season. He will join fellow Chiefs youngsters Itumeleng Shopane and Ayanda Rorwana at Swallows, the duo went out on loan to The Birds at the start of the 2019/20 season.
