Coach Steve Komphela has decided to start the Soweto Derby with the same team as the one that beat Mamelodi Sundowns so gloriously on Tuesday.
Good news is that Gustavo Páez is back in the squad. The striker doesn’t start, but will be able to come on from the bench when needed.
Meanwhile, Komphela has kept confidence in the three centre-backs that did so well against the Brazilian - Daniel Cardoso, Erick Mathoho and the 20-year-old Siyabonga Ngezana, who got the Man of the Match award on his debut after a superb performance, which included a goal.
The match will be Siphiwe Tshabalala’s 30th Derby, which is record in the PSL era.
Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will play each other in an Absa Premiership match at FNB Stadium this afternoon (kick-off is at 15:30).
Chiefs’ line up: Khune, captain (32); Cardoso (4), Mathoho (3), Ngezana (30), Zulu (22); Tshabalala (14), Katsande (31), Maluleka (12), Molangoane (23); Ekstein (27), Parker (25)
